Neeshee Pandit AHP, Menpa

Neeshee Pandit AHP, Menpa Somaraja Boulder CO

Neeshee Pandit is a Tibetan medical doctor (menpa), Ayurvedic practitioner, astrologer, and psychoanalyst. He co-founded the Somaraja clinic and established Somaraja Press. As a practitioner, Neeshee investigates the theoretical and clinical intersections between Eastern medicine and Western psychoanalysis. He distinguishes these two modes of work as “applied psychoanalysis” (medicine, astrology) vs “pure psychoanalysis” (analysis itself).

Neeshee specializes in moxibustion therapy, Lacanian analysis, Vedic astrology, and Human Design. In addition to his work at the Somaraja clinic, Neeshee teaches at the Middle Way Acupuncture Institute and publishes essays for Somaraja Press. Neeshee lives in Boulder with his wife, Nicole, and their two pugs, Norbu and Nori.

Lineage and Education

Neeshee comes from a family lineage of scholars, physicians, and astrologers. His grandfather, Dr. Y.I. Dixit (1932 - 2018) was a Professor of History who had a great interest in medicine, culture, and philosophy. He exposed Neeshee to Ayurvedic texts and remedies at a young age and supported his interest in medicine, astrology, and spirituality. Dr. Dixit was a renowned palm reader, and his father was a Vedic astrologer.

From 2008 - 2023, Neeshee lived in the ashrams of his Guru, Adi Da Samraj, where he was intensively engaged in spiritual disciplines and trained in temple arts. In this context, Neeshee served in priestly, managerial, and educational capacities. From 2009 - 2024, Neeshee served as an editor for the Dawn Horse Press, where he worked closely with Adi Da’s texts.

In 2015, Neeshee graduated from the California College of Ayurveda. He continued his studies under the mentorship of Vaidya R.K. Mishra (1952 - 2017), who initiated him into his family lineage of Shaka Vansya Ayurveda. Concurrently, Neeshee studied Vedic Astrology and Homeopathy with Ernst Wilhelm.

In 2016, Neeshee’s interest in Tibetan culture led him to begin a traditional four-year education in Tibetan Medicine under the tutelage of Menpa Phuntsog Wangmo and in the lineage of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche and Khenpo Troru Tsenam Rinpoche.

After graduating from Tibetan medical school in 2020, Neeshee pursued his childhood interest in Chinese Medicine by training in J.R. Worsley’s lineage of Five-Element Acupuncture at the Worsley Institute. Neeshee subsequently completed a Master’s diploma in Acupuncture at the Middle Way Acupuncture Institute in 2024. His master’s thesis, “Spirits of the Unconscious: Possession and Resurrection in Acupuncture Therapeutics”, interprets the Chinese medical notion of “possession” through a Freudian and Jungian lens and examines its treatment with five-element acupuncture.

In the realm of psychoanalysis, Neeshee has undergone a Jungian Analysis (as analysand) and is currently an Analyst-in-Formation under the mentorship of Dr. Scott Von at the Analytica Institute.
