About Our Retreats
Somaraja Wilderness Retreats take place on Flagstaff Mountain, two-thousand feet above Boulder, Colorado. Our retreat sanctuary is nestled in a two-acre pine forest, surrounded by vast wilderness, that is home to a full-service Ayurvedic clinic and private retreat cabin. You will be in walking distance to gorgeous trailheads with mountain views right outside your window.
Retreat is an opportunity for your body, mind, and spirit to enter a nourishing container of rest and rejuvenation. Our retreats are rooted in the traditions of Ayurveda and Tibetan Medicine. These ancient medical systems are based on natural laws that entrust the body to heal itself. Our retreats are designed to maintain a balance between therapeutic input and time spent in nature.
Your retreat will be guided by two healthcare professionals who have gone through many retreats of their own and have managed retreats for others worldwide.
Retreats include the following therapies:
Ayurvedic Body Therapies: abhyānga, shirodhāra, basti, nāsya, neti
Tibetan Body Therapies: moxibustion, herbal compress (hormé), medicinal baths
Consultations and Readings: health consultations, astrology readings, human design readings, I Ching divination
Wilderness Activity: forest bathing (shinrin-yoku), gentle hikes
Private Retreat Cabin with full bath, laundry, and kitchen
Full access to 2-acre sanctuary with sauna, hammock, and patios
5-Day Autumn Retreat — $4000
In Ayurveda, Autumn is considered an optimal time for cleansing, because it is a time when nature is letting go. As the trees release their leaves, we also participate in a cycle of release and renewal. Autumn is a beautiful time of year in Colorado, with pleasant days, cool nights, and colorful scenery.
Retreats include the following therapies and amenities:
Three meals a day
Private Retreat Cabin with full bath, laundry, and kitchen
Full access to 2-acre sanctuary with sauna, hammock, and patios
Booking Your Retreat
Step One: Schedule Free 15-Min Consultation
Schedule a free 15-minute consultation with Neeshee Pandit. In this consultation, we will get to know you, your goals, and any concerns you may have. This 15-minute consultation is done via Zoom.
Step Two: Schedule Initial Consultation
Schedule your Initial Consultation with Neeshee and Nicole. The Initial Consultation takes place before your retreat and is two hours in length. We will do a thorough intake of your health history and current concerns. This will help us customize the retreat for your specific needs and goals. The cost for this consultation ($350) functions as your retreat deposit which officially reserves your retreat. For distance patients, the Initial Consultation is done via Zoom.
Step Three: Prepare For Retreat
In Ayurveda, the preparatory period of healing is known as purva karma. Preparation allows you to be maximize the time spent on retreat. You will be given preparatory guidelines that include dietary and lifestyle recommendations. Herbs may be recommended in this preparatory stage.
Sample Autumn Retreat Schedule
The sample schedule gives a rough outline of a retreat day. Note that our retreats are completely personalized and adjusted to the person day by day. Rather than imposing a strict regimen or program, we adopt a fluid approach that is sensitive to each person’s healing process in real time.
